Khalil joined the EBS team in December 2018, at the Timmins office, where he takes on litigation matters, with a focus on criminal law. Khalil brings his well-practiced research skills and advocacy for his clients. He is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association.
Khalil is a lawyer originating from Toronto. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University, in Ottawa, Ontario. He went on to pursue a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
During his time in the U.K., Khalil participated in many mooting competitions. He represented the University of Leicester in a U.K.-wide moot on Canadian Constitutional Law. In that competition, Khalil and his team advanced to the finals, which were held at the Canada House, the Canadian High Commission in London, England.
At the University of Leicester, Khalil was also a member of the Rugby League team, where he played prop and loose-head forward. In 2016, the University of Leicester won their Division Championship.
Khalil obtained his LL.B. in 2016 and he articled with a criminal law firm in Toronto where he gained valuable experience. Khalil was subsequently called to the Bar in June, 2018 and continued to practice at the firm where he articled.

In his spare time, Khalil enjoys traveling, playing sports and scuba diving. He is also an avid skier and a ski instructor.
